I found a tent catipillar on the parking lot post.

Here is also a Garden Columbine I saw on my walk

Spring is surley here, you can tell just by observing the colors in this photograph.

This swampy part of the canal is full of plants and water.Some people walking along the canal said they seen turtles and a snake near this area

Here is my stump, which is decomposing. when I began this journal I thought I could record all other decomposers I could find near it, but it was moved.

This tree with the saplings is a nice change, as you can see on the Changes part of this webpage

The Japanese knotweed is dominating this riverbank.

 

 

The trees are thick with growing leaves

Even in West Virginia there are many plants growing on the other bank of the Potomac River

 

The grass growing in the canal is very green and is very thick.

This week I took my sister Chablis along for a bike ride.
